For this week’s Up & Comer, allow us to introduce you to couture design house, Patric Love. The brainchild of Venezuelan-born designer, Julio Cesar Cruz is a studied designer whose work is full of lively color and effortless glamour. Through his world travel, his experience in styling worldwide campaigns, and his adoration of feminine beauty, he and his team have crafted a unique design aesthetic.
Julio, lead designer of Patric Love, studied law before he decided to bask in his passion for fashion. He has directed cover shoots for Marie Claire, Maxim, and Vanidades, among others, and has styled a sleu of of looks for national and international artists. When designing, he studies the best collections of the season so he can provide the most international perspective in both his styling looks and his designs.
When thinking of Patric Love’s collections, his play on structure and the female body form lead to the juxtaposition of styles which can be seen in many of his pieces. Think glamorous yet whimsical. Couture yet completely wearable. The designer was inspired by the city of Monaco for his Spring/Summer ’14 collection “where the women of the streets thrive on beauty, sophistication and, above all, luxury.”
The Patric Love collection is not yet available online but will be available for purchase in LA by December. In the meantime, check out their recently launched website.
